A charming property outside Bordeaux that we used as a base. We had our own car so it was very convenient not to have parking problems at the hotel.
Breakfast was a bit too light.

Beautiful place, very well restored and modernised lovely chateau, fantastic room. Personal, helpful and very friendly service. Very good dinner and superb breakfast. Although the price is quite high, it is well worth it. I recommend this hotel 100%

Very clean and comfortable. The service was very very good. Quiet location, situated close enough Bordeaux to be convenient but still be far enough out for peace and quiet. Nice pool.
Didn't try the restaurant as it seemed a little expensive - possibly geared towards the business traveler who would put it on expenses? The menu sounded tempting though.

Easy to find, convenient, grand building, nice room, nice pool.
We arrived mid afternoon and there was nobody at reception. Eventually a member of staff turned up. Our room had not been vacated by its previous occupant. We waited for about forty minutes him to go and the room to be cleaned. (We were offered a drink while we waited and given a small upgrade in compensation.) Some of the public areas in the building smelt very damp. The owner was a bit weird; he encouraged our eight year old son to go and chat up a young girl in the hotel; we felt uncomfortable with this. And no eggs at breakfast.

The quality of the chateau is very high, we stayed in the rooms outside which were very good, I'm sure chateau itself even better. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great. It's also z good location to visit the general area as far as st emillion. Would recommend

Beautiful château, imaginatively restored, with fabulous grounds, a cracking wine list and a very genial owner. The pool is set slightly away from the main château in the beautiful grounds - excellent for anyone travelling with boisterous young boys as you don't have to worry about their excited shouts disturbing anyone chilling out with a drink on the patio. Our family room (in the main hotel) had a cool turret room - handy for a late night Kindle reader. The bathroom was huge with double sinks and lots of room. The double bed was huge and luxurious and the décor was opulent. The boys had a small room with a bunk bed just off the bathroom. The menu was a little limited but nearby Creon (three mins away) had excellent restaurants. Breakfasts were superb - especially the fruit salads. The spacious lift was an unexpected godsend for anyone with a lot of luggage.
The menu was a little limited but nearby Creon (three mins away) had excellent restaurants. In many ways this was a positive.

Tranquility, staff very kind and helpful, the setting, the comfort in all areas, lounge, dining room and bedroom.
A bit odd wash hand basin beside the shower room rather than in with the WC. No tea/coffee making facility in the room; this is pretty standard in most other countries nowadays.
